Tyrone Henderson of Brockton was taken into custody at the scene of the crime late Friday night. He's been charged with one count of murder, one count of failing to register as a sex offender after a 68 year old man was fatally stabbed inside that apartment on spring Street. The DA's office says police received a 911 call about 10pm on Friday at a report of a stabbing at a residence and arrived to find a 68 year old man who'd been stabbed multiple times in the neck, chest and leg. The victim, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police were able to identify the suspect as Henderson. He had remained on scene inside the building where he was taken into custody. Authorities have not shared what led up to the deadly incident or said how Henderson and the victim were known to each other, but officials say this was not a random act and there is no threat to the public. The investigation remains ongoing. Henderson is due to be arraigned today in Brockton District Court.

The Charles river is now one of the cleanest urban rivers in the country, according to the mwra.
